Track: Developers Slot: 14:00-15:30, Wednesday 24th May SVG Data Widgets are remote-data connection widgets for SVG described in a private XML namespace. The SVG Data Widgets markup declares a data source for a widget and data token names and scaling rules for the interpretation from engineering value to graphical representation. The SVG Data Widgets seamlessly leverage SVG, Javascript, Ajax, and JSON to provide real-time or near-real-time clientside representation of remote sensor-data measurements.
The technology is SVGT-1.2 and SVG-1.0 compatible and works on all network-aware platforms capable of invoking javascript http connections and DOM manipulation. The system has been extensively tested on Firefox, Adobe SVG Viewer, and Batik SVG implementation.
