Alexander Linden
Dr. Alexander Linden is an independent consultant and technology expert.
Until April 2006 he worked as an industry analyst with Gartner for almost 8
years. In his position as Research Vice President he led Gartner's coverage
on Semantic Web technologies and other advanced information management
areas. He also directed parts of Gartner's Emerging Technology Watch and
consulted global clients in many industries on issues of innovation
management.
Prior to joining Gartner in 1998, Mr. Linden was a senior staff member of
General Electric's strategic technology unit in New York. Mr. Linden
completed postdoctorial studies at the ICSI in Berkeley and was a research
scientist with the Fraunhofer AIS near Bonn. Mr. Linden holds a master's and
a doctorate degree in computer science.
