As president and CEO at Factiva, Clare Hart drives the strategic vision and direction for this award winning content, technology and services company. Under Clare Hart's leadership Factiva has continually broken new ground in business search and is an acknowledged leader in providing essential news and business information to enterprises around the world.

Since she was appointed to her current position in 2000, Ms. Hart has led the Dow Jones and Reuters joint venture to build a single Factiva culture. She had the foresight to develop a single, next-generation technology platform, which today enables Factiva to deliver world-class content alongside an organization's internal data to enterprise information solutions. This provides1.8 million paying subscribers with easy access to relevant information when they need it.

Today, Factiva has introduced more than 15 content solutions for global enterprise business intelligence and is leading the industry in innovation. They recently received the 2005 Rogen Award for Business Excellence. Clare Hart was recognized as a Ten Award recipient by the executive council of New York for leadership and innovation and awarded the 2005 Women's Venture Fund Highest Leaf Award.

Clare Hart's professional experience ranges from product design and development to executive positions held in both sales and marketing. Prior to her current appointment, she was vice president and director of Factiva global sales, where she consolidated multiple sales groups into one global entity and managed about a third of Factiva's workforce.

She sits on the software information industry association board of directors and was previously on the board of directors of the society of competitive intelligence professionals (SCIP) from 1999 - 2000. She is also a member of the society of competitive intelligence professionals and the special libraries association (SLA).

She has a BSc in finance and computer systems management from Philadelphia's Drexel University and an MBA from Rider University, Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
