Animating the set of IW3C2 Conference Series Logos has involved the following people:

Developers
  • Bob Hopgood: Bob has done most of the SVG animation development including the XSLT libraries.
  • Paul Hopgood: Paul has composed all the original, and recorded all the music for the animations with ideas thrown in by others.
IW3C2 Supporters
  • Allan Ellis: Allan had the idea of bringing all the animations together as a set to give away at the Hyderabad Conference in 2011 to mark the 20th Conference in the Series.
  • David Duce: David has provided computer graphics expertise when we got stuck and been the main guinea pig in viewing unfinished works.
  • Ivan Herman: who had the original idea and worked with us on early SVG developments.
  • John Miller: who helped solve A/V problems at conferences on a number of occasions.
  • Conference Organisers: who generated the logos and provided us with ideas and been willing to give us time and support at the Opening and Closing Sessions of the Conference Series to allow us to indulge our interests.
  • IW3C2 Members: other IW3C2 Members have been very supportive, including Robert Cailliau, Wendy Hall, Gusztav Hencsey, Arun Iyengar, Daniel Schwabe, Vincent Shen, Bebo White and Mez (Mary Ellen Zurko). Also many thanks to Yammie Yuen who made sure copies of animations were put up on the IW3C2 website.
Others
  • Oxford Brookes Students: the students have commented on each year's attempt, provided tools to use (such as a timeline editor) and debugged the PAEPOS and path_ology libraries. Particular mention must be made to Peter Gould who really demonstrated that it was possible to do credible 3D animatons in SVG.
  • Dr Rene Banares-Alcantara: who took time off from his day job as Reader in the Department of Engineering Science at Oxford University to provide the voice-over in Spanish for the Don Quixote utterances in the Madrid logo animation.
