The International World Wide Web Conference Committee (IW3C2) cordially invites you to participate in the 16th International World Wide Web Conference (WWW2007) to be held on May 8-12, 2007 in Banff, Canada.
The first WWW conference was held in 1994 at CERN, where the Web was born. Since then, the conference series has become the premier venue for academics and industry to present, demonstrate, and discuss the latest ideas about the Web.
WWW2007 will be held in Banff, Alberta, Canada at the world-famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. The technical program for the five-day conference will include refereed paper presentations, plenary sessions, panels, and poster sessions, as well as tutorials, workshops, and special sessions for Web developers, historians, and visionaries.

WWW2007 seeks original papers describing research in all areas of the Web. Papers should not have been published or be in submission at another conference or journal. Topics include but are not limited to:
Submissions should present original reports of substantive new work and can be up to 10 pages in length. Papers should properly place the work within the field, cite related work, and clearly indicate the innovative aspects of the work and its contribution to the field. We will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review for or has already been published or accepted for publication in a journal or another conference.
In addition to regular papers, we also solicit submissions of position papers articulating high-level architectural visions, describing challenging future directions, or critiquing current design wisdom. Authors are encouraged to use Position Paper in the title of these papers to distinguish them from regular papers.
All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers from an International Program Committee. Reviewing is not "double blind", so authors should include all author and contact information in the title area of their papers. Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and will also be accessible to the general public via the conference Web site. Authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer form. See the submissions page for detailed formatting and submission requirements.
Refereed papers must be submitted on or before November 20, 2006 (11:59pm Hawaii time). NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED!
Authors of top-ranked papers will be invited to submit enhanced versions of their papers for publication in a special issue of the ACM Transactions on the Web.
A program of tutorials will cover topics of current interest to Web design, development, services, operation, use, and evaluation. These half and full-day sessions will be led by internationally recognized experts and experienced instructors using prepared content.
Workshops provide an opportunity for researchers, designers, leaders, and practitioners to explore current Web R&D issues through a more focused and in-depth manner than is possible in a traditional conference session. Participants typically present position statements and hold in-depth discussions with their peers within the workshop setting.

Panels provide an interactive forum that will engage both panelists
and the audience in lively discussion of important and often
controversial issues.

Developers Track (DevTrack) is devoted to the interests of Web developers, offering in-depth discussions of technologies and tools at the forefront of the Web. This track will consist of several streams focused on specific content areas. DevTrack sessions are designed to be timely and state-of-the-art. Information about submissions is provided on the DevTrack CFP page.
Posters provide a forum for late-breaking research, and facilitate feedback in an informal setting. Posters are peer-reviewed. The poster area provides an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to present and demonstrate their recent Web-related research, and to obtain feedback from their peers in an informal setting. Posters provide conference attendees a way to learn about innovative works in progress in a timely and informal manner. Formatting and submission requirements for posters are available here.
The W3C Track gives latest news and views from the World Wide Web Consortium. Submissions are by invitation only.
As in past WWW conferences, there will be Best Paper and Best Student Paper awards presented in both the refereed paper and the poster paper categories.
