Paul King

Paul King is senior security advisor in Cisco's corporate security programs organisation (CSPO). He advises on both internal and external security matters, from specific threats to policy issues. He works very closely with commercial organizations across the board, especially the financial and government sectors.

Since joining the company in early 1994, Paul has worked with and advised some of the company's largest customers, and has been a frequent public speaker on a variety of security related issues including Internet, e-business and corporate security.

In his current capacity as senior security advisor, Paul also represents Cisco in various UK government departments such as the Home Office and the law enforcement agencies. Paul also represents Cisco in some European departments such as ENISA (European Network Information Security Agency).

Before joining Cisco, Paul spent eight years working for IBM as a senior consultant specialising in TCP/IP networking. Paul is a graduate of the University of Birmingham.

Synopsis

How to protect your critical information

Paul King will talk about how a business might protect itself from attack, and will use examples of how Cisco protects itself throughout the talk. It will be more practical than theoretical and there will not be any Cisco product slides or presentation material.
