the new OBJECT-tag allows to include everything into a web document, including images, scripts and text. it is meant as a more generic replacement for the IMG- and the SCRIPT-tags.

ON-action attributes provide a means to add more interactivity to web documents. objects - such as blocks of text or images - may change their appearance if a pointing device is moved over or away from it or if other actions occur, such as pressing or releasing a mouse button.
